Molly wore these splendid silver sequined slippers to the beach. The text is from an old dictionary and the stamps illustrate her love of animals, boats and all things to do with the sea. The map is of St Ives, where Molly lives, and she was aged 7 when I painted the piece.. hence the number 7 in the top left corner. The seagull is there.. well because they are everywhere!
